Hi all, My company is looking to purchase a test automation program for desktop applications, does anyone have a list of automation programs that they would recommend that we look at to see if they would meet our requirements/budget :)

Is using ACT a requirement?
That too is quite old and very limited in functionality.

Hi Friends,

I have to introduce Application Center Test(ACT) tool in my office but I have little knowledge about it.I have to implement ACT for Stress and Load Testing but I have a few queries.
1) Which is the best and easiest book for Application Center Test.
2) I have installed ACT on my machine but now I wish to calculate the main server load i.e. how many users can the server handle at a time ,at what point the performance starts decreasing and at what point the server cant handle any more user which means it has reached its break even point. My Manager says that ACT is calculating the load and stress from your machine but not from the server whereas a friend of mine told me that it calculates the load and stress for the server only by stimulating users for the server.I am confused so please help me out.
3)A run a script where in it shows some HTTP errors,DNS errors and Socket errors. How will I come to know from this that where the system's performance started reducing and what time it reached the break even point.
Resolve my queries as soon as possible.
